Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Boston Massacre The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, of 1770. The fight was about the patriots being angry that the soldiers constantly harassed them, and adding on to that the taxes were angering them. The Boston Massacre was a fight between the patriots and British soldiers. The Patriots threw snowballs, wood, ice, and anything they could find on the floor at the British soldiers. Five patriots died, and many were injured by the British gunshots. The colonists were mad because the British government was trying to have more control over them by involving more taxes, and makingmore laws. The first person to be shot bythe British soldiers in the Boston Massacre was Crispus Attucks. The first soldier to shoot his gun was Hugh Montgomery. Over 50 colonists showed up to this after the loud commotion and news spreading. A trial was held after the fight, to see if the soldiers were guilty. The soldiers were found not guilty, which fueled the patriot's wanting freedom, and was a huge step of the American Revolution. Citations -Boston Massacre Historical Society. (n.d.).
