Exercise: Sit or stand. Touch your right elbow to your left knee. Then, touch your left elbow to your right knee. Repeat for a few minutes. Benefit: Increases connections between left and right sides of the brain. Exercise 2:Brain buttons Exercise: Rub the indent below your left collar bone in circular motions with your right hand. Repeat on the right with your left hand. Benefit: Improves attention by increases blood and water flow to the brain. Exercise 1:The Energy Yawn Exercise: Gently rub the muscles around the jaw in circular motions. Finish with two large stretching yawns. Benefit: Increases oxygen to the brain and relieves stress Script Writing Using the storyboards they created in the previous workshop, the students will divide back into their groups to write scripts. Each group member will start a script and pass it around the circle for their group members to add to. The students will have a limited amount of time. Time: 30 to 45 minutes Participants: 8 to 25 Grade range: 5th to 9th Reviewing The students will read the scripts to the rest of the class (as many as time will allow). A discussion will follow.
