It also tells you about the measure FDR took to fix the economy. The setting is in the United States from the years of 1926 to 1937. Plot The book starts out explaining the main events leading to the Depression such as the stock market crash, banks failing, high unemployment rate, and overproduction. The book goes on telling how people were getting mad that Hoover was not fixing the situation. Further into the book it then tells how president Franklin and "The New Deal" go on to help the economy finally recover.
