The battle of fort dearborn was significant because it was about trade between United states troops and the indians, it led to a more organized trade system because so many innocent people died because of mis compromise.The battle was important because it though americans to deala different way for land in Chicago. On July 4 th 1816 Americans resetteled and built a second Fort Dearborn, this time with moreknowledge on how to deal witht the natives that ocupied the land.
