Setting: the book is placed in modern day-times, and it helps the book because it gives the reader an idea of how thingswere happening, and what the objects looked like. The story mainly took place at Sam's school, her house, andher lake house where Cassiedied. Character: Protagonist: Sam- She helps support the story because when she lost her memory, she constantly heard about how she acted before she lost her memory; before she changed. Even though she heard all that stuff, she was determined to change people minds about her.Antagonist: School body, Cassie(before she died) Cassie infuenced the story because all of the people Sam talked to said that when she met Cassie, she changed for the worse. The Student Body took part in the story becase when Sam returned to school, everyone thought she was still the same type of person and were still scared of her. Plot: Sam and Cassie were missing for 4 days before Sam reappeared, with no memory. She starts to reconnect with her old childhood friend, Carson, who helps her try to remember what happened when she was missing. Cassie's dead body comes up and the autopsy reported that she was hit on the head then fell offa cliff at Sam's lake house and died. At the same time, Sam grows eeper feelings for Carson. Eventually , Sam remembers everything, all the way back to her childhood. She gets in a fight with her father, and Carson showed upand tried to help Sam, after she attempted to call him, but Sam's dad took a shard of glass and cut Carson's arm badly. After they try to escape, he pointed a gun at her and Carson, but surprisingly, her mom who she had had many arguments with, saved her, by shooting him in the back.
