Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 How can our past help predict the future? *The Past can help us by getting prepared if future events such as earthquakes and hurricanes ever happen again for example before they made satellites and computers they couldnt prepare if hurricanes will be heading towards an area they werent prepared .Now we can prepare if these events ever occur again. Scientists didnt know how to predict earthquakes but in Japan animals acted strange so the government decided to move everyone out of Japan it was a success. What are the consequences of imbalense of power? How did America colonize? then another time *Many people came to America for many reasons. Some wanted to trade for goods and get rich. Others came for religion because where they used to live had only 1 religion. 2 Good examples are the pilgrims and Jamestown. Jamestown came to trade for goods and become rich. The pilgrims came because where they use to live (England) had only 2 religions the Church of England and Catholicism and if you celebrated a different religion you would have to go to jail. There was no freedom of religion so they decided we should leave and go to the new world. It was a hard journey but they knew if they tried they would have freedom of religion. *Before the pilgrims America started as a small town called Jamestown. It was sponsored by the Virginia Company of London they hoped to profit from the voyage. 3 Ships depurated heading for the distention the ships names were called Godspeed, Susan Constant and Discovery all carrying 105 passengers whom 1 died during the voyage. The Colony was governed by a council of 7 with one member being president. The ship left in December 1606 and arrived at the Virginia coast in late April 1607 What events led to America Revolutions? *The five events that led up to the Revolutionary War are the French and Indian War 1754 - 1763, No Taxation without Representation 1750's, Stamp Act 1765, Boston Massacre 1770 and the Boston Tea Party 1773. The French and Indian war was caused because of a disagreement between the French and Indian people. The phrase "No Taxation without Representation" expresses the colonial's want to have representation in the British government before the American Revolution. The Stamp Act is an act of the British Parliament in 1756 that took money income from the American by forcing a stamp duty on newspapers and legal and commercial documents. The Boston Massacre was a street fight that happened on March 5, 1770, between a "patriot" mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British soldiers. This famous act of American colonial refusal to cooperate served as a protest against taxation.
