On July 26, 2009 at 1:35 pm at Taconic State Parkway, New York, USA a tragic car accidenttook place that cause the death of 8 people, 2 people with minor injuries and 1 child withsevere injuries. Alcohol combined is well-know where can someone lead. However,less is known about the effect of marijuana while driving. A combination of alcohol and drugs might enhance the effect of alcohol and/or vice versa. What happened? Who were involved? The person that cause this accident was Diane Schuler, a 36-year-old mother of Erin Schuler, 2-year-old and her brother Bryan Schuler (survivor),5-year-old and aunt of Kate Hance, 5-year-old, AlysonHance, 7-year-old, and Emma Hance, 8-year-old.All of them was boarding in her red minivan. Guy Bastardi, 49-year-old, with his father Micheal Bastardi, 81-year-old, and their friend Daniel Longo, 74-year-old, were boarding on the oncoming vechicle. Why this case? Introduction The case went on publicity through the Schuler's attorney. As a result, HBO got an interest and made a documentary about the case with the name "There's something wrong with Aunt Diane". The documentary involve the policemen that was involve in the case, as well as, the relatives of the deceased. Furthermore, the case also shows the toxicology, autopsy and police report. As the reports suggest the case involves the consumption of a large amount of alcohol and use of drugs (marijuana). Her blood alcohol concentration was found to be 0.19% (and more undigested in her stomach) and 113ng/mL of THC in her system.
