The average American family uses about 99 gallons of water per day (Take Part). The world’s poorest families live on 2.5 gallons per day (Take Part). Every day in sub-Saharan Africa, hundreds of millions of people suffer from a lack of clean, safe water(The Water Project). With clean water in sub-Saharan Africa, all of this would go away.(The Water Project). If less fortunate countries getwater close to where they live, the children would be able to be schooled because they wouldn't have to collect water (The Water Project). By 2050, 42% ofthe world will have water scarcity (Mogelgaard). By 2050, the population will grow from 7 to 9 billion(Design Infographics). As the population rises, the water scarcity does too.This means we will have less water for more people. When there is no water left,the world will become uninhabitable. Two ways to use less water. Citizens in countries with plenty of water should care about water conservation because soon if people don’t, millions of people will die per day and theEarth will become uninhabitable. While you brush your teeth, turn the sink on only when needed. This will save 80% of thewater used when brushing teeth(The Water Project). When using the dishwasher and the washer, use only full loads. This will minimize water usage(The Water Project).
