Is kite fighting an actualevent that takes placein Afghanistan? Why can men not shavetheir beards? Is it against their religion? "For you, a thousand times over" Why didn't Amir standup for Hassan when hewas getting rapped bythe older kids? Why'd herun away? SamPloederl Why did Hassan and hisfather leave? Was it because of what happendto Hassan? Why aren't any countriestrying to help the peoplein Kabul? MY REACTION I was in awe at the fact that Amir just watchedHassan get raped by the older kids, especially because Hassan has stuck up for Amir countless of times when he was too cowardly to stick up for himself. It was weird to me howeven though Amir and his father lived in the U.S. they still stuck closely to their culture andthey continued to speak their native language.I didn't understand why it was such a big dealthat Amir talked to Farzana out in the open, her father, General Taheri pulled him aside andmade it clear he did not want him talking to his daughter. My opinion on Amir changedfor the worse when he moved to the U.S. andhad no guilt for not sticking up for Hassan, butmy opinion changed later in the movie when hetalked about how much guilt he had and how much hurt he had in his heart. When Amir went back to get Hassan's son I was shocked to see how quickly things changed. In the beginningof the movie it was a beautiful city to live in and then when he went back it had all been torn to bits and pieces. Why does Amir's father hate Russians so much? Main character Father ofAmir Hassan'smother Son of Hassan& Farzana "Father" ofHassan Amir'sbest friend Amir's wife Baba's best friend Hassan &Sohrab'srapist Amir's driver Hassan'swife ROLE IN MOVIE Father ofSoraya Do they actually havenice cars in Afghanistan? What happened to Amir's mother? Is shealive or did she pass? Did the Soviets actuallyinvade Kabul on the datethe movie says? Is stoning someone to death really still a thing? If so, why can't it be put to an end?
