He introduces himself by calling on a number that wasnt supposed to be listed, belonging to a telephone located upstairs, in Scotts study-room. When she answers the phone, he refers to himself being known as, Zack McCool; and then proceeds to tell Lisey that he wants her books for a friend named: Joseph Woodbody. However, this is no mild encounter with the manas again, stated before. Before receiving that phone call however, she had taken a much different phone callin which she talked to one of her sisters. Darla urges Lisey to come to see Amanda--another sister she had. Amanda, had apparently cut herself, and even swallowed up her own blood. Upon arrival, she discovered that Amanda had cut herself againwhich leads to Amanda becoming a patient in a place called, Greenlawn. Even later on, Zack McCool, creates a heightened sense of tension within the plotmost certainly a part of the rising action; and stuffs a dead cat into Liseys mailboxbut also accidently gives her Woodbodys phone number. She realizes that Woodbodys actions were a mistakeand that Zack McCool is working on his own. In the climax of the story, Amanda is released from Greenlawn by Lisey, and they drive to Liseys housetogether; only to be confronted by Lisey into Booya Moona place I have spoken of within my reading logs. Jim Dooley was shortly afterwards, killed by a creature making residence within Booya Moon, known simply as Scotts long boy. After all of this occurs, Lisey and Amanda transport themselves back to Liseys housespecifically the basement. In the denouement of the story, some of Scotts childhood is told in a letter left for Lisey. Also, more details about who Jim Dooley really isare discussed between Lisey and a deputy named Danny Boekman. In my opinion, and summarized thought, the theme of; Liseys Story: Is that you shouldnt hang on to the pastespecially in the case of relationships: when you lose someone who means the stars and the moon to you. If you decide to grapple upon the past in such a case, then it can be very painfulmore than torturing even. I know that this is the summary due to how I drew many parallels between, Liseys Story, and what is stated above. For example, the death of Scott causes Lisey to form a type of psychosis that occurs at particular moments outside her dreamsbut continues within her dreams, and this leads to pain. I would give this book a three out of five rating, due to how the story progresses far too slowly, then too quicklywhich actually leads me to being confused, until I read farther within the book. Secondly, I find myself constantly having to look at made-up words, of which there is a lotand attempting to grasp the meaning to no avail, until as I stated aboveI read farther within the book. Why was Amandas third psychotic breakdown worse than her other two of such, and how was she released from such a breakdown? Amanda was possessed by what remained of Scotta ghost, that is, and then was silent when spoken to. Amanda did not cry, nor move when implored to. It was more or less as if she wasnt there at all. Amanda was released from having such a breakdown due to how Lisey went to Booya Moon, and then stopped her from looking at the beach within such. Amanda was killed, but Lisey refused to believe that it was true. When Lisey came to terms with what had happened, she broke down and cried. Amanda was screaming, and wounded herself in the leg to a state to where one would say the damage was terminalpermanent. She was released from Greenlawn hospital in a wheelchair later on in the story. Amanda had killed Darla, which led to her arrest and imprisonment on a maximum life-sentence with the charge of second-degree murder. She was free fifteen years later from said prison.
