Who Built it?-Felix de Weldon created a picture in 72 hours, and in his free time.-He was not assigned to make it. -He made a sculpture of Joe Rosenthal's picture of the war. Where is it?-It is outside the walls of the Arlington national Cementary. At Arlington, Virginia. What does it look like? -The monument is six soldiers raising up a flag on a ten foot tall base.-It also has a canteen, and guns that are propritonal to real life. How was it built? -It was drawn as a picture, and later cast in bronze. -The casting process took three years by experienced artists. -Then it was disesembled and brought to Brooklyn, then Washington, DC. double click to changethis text!
