Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Holodomor: Ukrainian Genocide 1932-1933 Holodomor is the name for the Ukrainian genocide of 1932-1933.The Ukrainian people were literally starved when Joseph Stalin, who was head of the Soviet Union inflicted a man-made famine on them. He felt they needed to be extermin- ated because the Ukrainian nationalists might have rebelled and left the Soviet Union. Stalin felt the Ukrainians needed to be eliminatedbecause he feared Ukrainian nationalists would break apart the Soviet Union. Nationalism was more influential in the reasons why this happened than imperialism. This is because Stalin was always interested in expanding his land, but he was mainly just afraid that the Ukrainians would split apart the Soviet Union. His nationalistic feelings justified for him that the Ukrainians were just an inferior problem in need of elimination.|A194331804&docType=GALE&role=ITO F
