This attack raised one big concern: is our freedom of speech in danger ? 5 of the men who were killed were drawers for the magazine and fought for freedom of speech.The magazine had already received many threats because oftheir caricatural content. The democratic values of France are: liberty, equality, and justice.It is therefor crucial for the country to fight for freedom of speech.Medias should be allowed to publish their political views withoutbeing threatend. All over Europe, many marches were organized to protest againstthose violent events. Many country leader such as Angela Merkel,Elio Di Rupo and David Cameroun traveled to Paris on SundayJanuary 11th to show their support to the french press and people. Many people mobilized themselves to protest against thisviolent terrorist attack. It did not only concern french values,but also European and overall democratic values. Because of the violence and the reasons of this terrorist attack,more and more people are willing to fight for their right offreedom of speech.
