Bacterial vaginosis is due to an the disruption of the system of bacteria that is normally found in a womans vagina. Bacterial Vaginosis has not been fully uncovered/ However it is known that having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners and douching can upset the balance of bacteria in the vagina, thus the woman is in a red zone, more likely to get bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial Vaginosis is most commonly found women after they have given birth. It is strongly advised for pregnant women whom have had given birth to a premature baby or a low weight baby to get a BV examination .
