Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Keystone XL Pipeline Pros Cons Farmers Environmental Political Farmers land has to be destroyed to place the pipeline The Keystone pipeline is the longeststudied pipeline ever. And scientist say that it is the most safest, fastestand more efficient way of transporting the oil. The pipeline will affect the climate change,if the pipeline leaks it will destroy many peoples property and farm lands and if they choose to burn the oil, there will be more green house gasses or more Co2 in our atmosphere It will create 42,000 temporary jobs and 50 permanent jobs "The Keystone XL pipeline expansionwould provide a significant boost to U.S. energy security, bringing more than800,000 barrels of oil per day to U.S.refineries." Industry 8 ?c=qlI5IhNVJsE&b=2723877&ct=13932403 "The same fossil fuel interests pushing the Keystone pipeline have been cutting, not creating jobs;Generating $546 billion in profits between 2005 and 2010, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell, and BP reduced their U.S. workforce by 11,200 employees over that period." e-pipeline-is-bad-for-the-economy/ They will get a temporary job and theyalso will get paid for their land becausethe government is taking their land tobuild the pipeline. If the pipeline has a leak, and they choose to clean up the oil by burning it, there willbe more green house gasses for(Co2 in our atmosphere. es The pipeline will cost a lot of tax moneythat we have to pay, and if the money is not enough, they might have to raise the our tax. My opinion on the keystone XL pipeline is that, they should build it because we can get more oil faster and safer, also the building of the $8 billion dollar project can creat jobsfor people who need a job for a year or 2. But at the same time if there is an accident oil leak in the pipeline, the oil can get into our drinking water and if we burn it, it will produce more green house gasses for the enviroment. Alex So
