The Panarubfactory - which is one of the sweatshops located near Indonesias capital, Jakarta-employs more than 10 000 workers who work on minimal pay and that are often put in harsh conditions.Adidas would put other localsports clothing businesses out of business becausepeople would want to buy the Adidas wear instead. The local economy has beendisadvantaged because people would want to buy theAdidas products over local businesses products, making the business not getas much sales or profit. People in developing countries would have less access to Adidas products since the introduction of Adidas because they would be exported to other countries and made more expensive so that Adidas could make more money. The affected developing countries would be connected to the rest of the world through the export of the products and because of trade agreement such as the products being made in those countries. Adidas has impacted on developing countries because of sweatshops. The gear is made in countries with trade free zones where it is either illegal or extremelydifficult for workers to organise into unions and it is near impossible for individuals to ask for improved conditionswithout fear of retribution. CULTURAL: ENVIRONMENTAL: Adidas has changed traditional ways of life in developingcountries because it has such little pay in the sweatshopsmeaning that their way of life is changed. Although more people would have jobs in the developingcountries because of the company, the language has changed, they have lost their cultural background and speak more English. Adidas does try to be environmentally friendly, by using recycled products. They use inlay soles, textiles, metals, plastics packaging and rubber that is all recycled. They do not source raw materials from any endangered or threatened species and have set rules as to how much chemicals they can use and are supposed to watch how much pollution they make.
