Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) The International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State; implemented by IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), a Washington, DC based non-profit organization; and administered by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) within the Philippines. The ILEP provides international teachers with unique opportunities to develop expertise in their subjectareas, enhance their teaching skills and increase their knowledge about the United States. ILEP consistsof a semester-long non-degree, non-credit academic program at a U.S. University including seminars onnew teaching methodologies, curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching strategies. Participants will audit two courses in the host university's School or Department of Education and participate in practicum in a U.S. secondary school near the host university. All participants will also receive a technology allowance and instructional technology training. Cultural enrichment, mentoring, and support will be provided throughout the program. The 2015-16 ILEP will commence in January 2016 and conclude in May 2016.
