Created with Fabric.js 1.4.5 Jack Valerius Chaparral Infograph 1. There is apparently enough flora in thisplace to attract plentyof fauna. This floraconsists mostly ofpoison oak, scrub oakYucca oak, other trees, shrub, and cacti 2. Some of the faunaaround here are:Coyotes, jack rabbits, ladybugs, alligator lizardshorned toads, praying mantisand honey bee 3. Chaparral such as these can be located along the west coast of the U.S. and South America, the Cape Town area of South Africa, the west tip of Australia, and along the coastal areas of the Mediterranean 4. The chaparral really only hastwo main seasons, winter andsummer, the winter of which islots colder than in the summer. The fall and spring are short periods of time 5. Really the average wintertemperature is 10 degrees C,and what I mean by summer being a lot hotter is that it averages about 40 degrees C. 6. Chaparral probably typicallydoesn't stretch very far, but itprobably can go VERY deep, or stretch far underground. 7. Chaparral is typically cave like and caves are always underground or in mountains, so it is going to be fairly hard to get perspiration in the air, much less precipitation at all. Also, cacti grow in typically hot places, and as you get closer to the Earth's core, it gets hotter and hotter, and since chaparral and caves are in the ground, it is likely to just be typically hot around these places. Other than that, the chaparral is a pretty decent place, considering you can find food and water. :)
