Blue- Services (52%)Grey- Food (14%)Green-Goods (21%)Pink- Shelter (8%)Yellow- Mobility (5%) This is a chart of the amount of energy that I use daily. -To support my lifestyle, it would take 17 global acresof the Earth's productive area. This would use 15.9 tons of carbon dioxide! -I could reduce my footprint by .1 percent (going from using 3.8 earths for everyone to have my lifestyle to 3.7) by eating fewer animal-based foods, recycling more often, and using more energy from renewable sources. MY CARBON FOOTPRINT -In 2012, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) made up about 82% of all America's greenhouse gas emissions. -My footprint on the world is that I produce 15 tons of carbon dioxide per year. The average American produces 27 tons of carbon dioxide per year but, the world average is 5.5 tons per person per year. Breakdown of my footprint: Green- Home Energy (37%)Blue- Driving and Flying (38%)Pink- Recycling and Waste (6%)Grey- Food and Diet (19%) In order for the world to improve, we must help it. Global Warming IS happening now and we should try and do everything in ourpower to slow it down. Not only this but, we can use less resourcesin America and try to provide more for people in less fortunate countries. To start in your own home, you could use less heatingand cooling, take shorter showers, and carpool with friends. A little bit goes a long way! By: Natalie-Rose Ross
